Passport Seva Portal Upgrade and Service Advisory
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, has upgraded the Passport Seva Portal to enhance user experience and strengthen system security.
During this transition, passport application processing and appointment services may take longer than usual. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Kindly plan to attend your scheduled appointments accordingly.
Premium Lounge (PL) Services
Premium Lounge (PL) is purely an Optional Service. Following are included in PL:
- Form filling, document uploading, photocopying, photograph and return courier.
- Includes SMS updates and courier return of document/passport.
- Quicker completion of the submission process
- Personalized attention for every applicant by dedicated BLS staff.
- Refreshments in a Premium setup
Applications submitted through the Premium Lounge are processed normally, without any priority by the Consulate/Mission.
Agent Alert
BLS International is the sole authorized service provider for Consular services on the behalf of the Consulate General of India (CGI): https://www.cgitoronto.gov.in/page/general-info-passport/
Be cautious of individuals outside the BLS center who claim to be BLS staff or agents. BLS officers exclusively assist applicants inside the official BLS office. If your documents, data, or application details are compromised by these unauthorized individuals, you assume all associated risks.
Attestation/Apostille Certificate Update
Any Apostille Certificate (including e-Apostille) issued by a competent authority in Canada no longer requires further attestation or legalization by the Consulate General of India, Toronto, Consulate General of India, Vancouver, or the High Commission of India, Ottawa (HCI-Ottawa).

- Our staff never ask applicants to make cash payments or any other form of payment to obtain an appointment, expedite the application process, secure an earlier appointment, or influence decision-making.
- We do not recommend any direct payments to personal bank accounts.
- Appointments must be booked exclusively through the BLS website. Please refer to the website for authorized service fees payable to BLS International.
- BLS International has no decision-making authority in visa, passport, or consular matters. All decisions are solely made by the HCI/Consulate General of India
As per the Consulate's guidelines, the applicant can apply for a visa to India only under the following visa types :
- Entry Visa
- Business Visa
- Medical Visa
- Student Visa
- Conference Visa
